Monsignor James Choma, Director
Monsignor James S. Choma is an archdiocesan priest of Newark, NJ,
and has been ordained for twenty-one years. He has served the Church in numerous capacities,
including parochial vicar, C.Y.O. director, secretary to the Archbishop, director of vocations,
director of Emmaus House (a discernment residence for men considering a priestly vocation)
secretary for development, and most recently as pastor of St. Agnes Parish in Clark.
Monsignor Choma was appointed Director of the International Institute for Clergy
Formation on Februrary 25, 2008 by Archbishop John J. Myers.
Monsignor Choma holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Immaculate Conception Seminary. He has also received a M.A. in Christian Spirituality, and certification in spiritual direction, directing retreats at Creighton University.
